Welcome and Namaste
My name is Vanessa and I am a Yoga Alliance 200hr certified Sama Yoga teacher currently in Parry Sound and living in my Skoolie.
I have been studying yoga for 11 years and dabbling in Ayurveda (Indian holistic medicine), meditation, Indian philosophy and natural living.
I received my Yoga Alliance Certified Teaching Certificate in Bali, Indonesia, studying under Sky Akasha in a yoga style called Sama Yoga.
I offer private, individual or small group, yoga classes and prefer this style of teaching to large group classes because it allows me to meet each individual's needs as they arise and ensure each student ends their practice feeling balanced and better than when they began.
To learn more about my style of yoga, the classes I offer, or me and my other interests keep exploring the site.
Have a wonderful day, Vanessa

Sama YogaSama means balance in Sanskrit and Sama Yoga is style of yoga that is meant to bring that, balance, to its students. It goes beyond the physical benefits of asanas (poses) and works to align practitioners inside and out. A balanced yogi is one who bends backward for each bend forward and one whose heart, mind, body, and spirit are one. Mixing Hatha Yoga, Kriyas, Qi gong and heart opening mantras
AyurvedaAyurveda, meaning study of life, is a form of ancient, holistic medicine from India. It is based on the premise that every person has in them varying levels of each of the 5 elements (fire, water, earth, air, and space) and its the imbalance of these that cause illness. Each element is associated with the 5 senses, major organs, times or year, moods, food properties and more. By understanding your elemental constitution you are better able to live a healthy life.
